So This is the flow of events on the 12th of July 2006. It started at 12 midnight when iw as surprised with a strawberry cake from chocz from my family. I went to work in the morning. Looks like it didnt start out great cos i was running late and had to take a cab. Then it became better cos we had our workplace wed morning devotion. Then, i had a difficult call to make though the mind was made up earlier, it was difficult to relinquish my title. But i did. Sad but Xing yee who came to have lunch with me around my workplace cheered me up. I was just so happy to see her. She gave me a pair of white heels and it didnt take long before i had a smile on my face again. We had food at Happy wok, a cantonese restaurant, her treat and it was nice catching up with her. Looks like the age 24 comes with a lot more responsibilities. but Girl, i;m here to always listen to you. So i went back to work and i had 2 difficult cases, My 1ST GP case was challenging but yeah, i made it through! had a call from someone and needed to help him resolve a BIG family dispute. That was tough. Then it became bad when i heard that my close friend's grandfather passed away and i was like, OMG, Its my birthday and i had to hear of such bad news. i sunk into my chair and stared blankly and prayed that the family will tide thru this. Sent sms'es thereafter. I still blame myself for not attending the wake. My colleagues tried cheering me up and before i knew it, it was 6pm, time to change into my RED dress and meet jess in town. The red dress was a gift from my mum.sHE's got good taste huh. Jess treated me to a fantastic italian dinner at PREGO'S and Faith and friend joined us there too.. there was a "surprise" celebration but not that much of a surprise when about 5 other people had their brithdays celebrated in that 2 hours we were there. it was just a matter of time that they came to me. ahhaa... Tiramisu and chocolate cake! yummy! i was SOOO stufffed. i couldnt even finish my linguine carbonara. Thereafter as i was having a private party at momo, i left and met Jason first who's a darling to have come then met some friends and then came back again. and he was flying off the nect morn.Love ya! Then kris, jerm, pram and marc came and then phoebe, kian yong and gang came. So everyone came in about 1145pm? They gave me a complimentary birthday gift, a bottle of champaign. Of cos we all shared it. We had a really good time. I was just happy to spend time with my close friends.. Thank you guys for coming, i really appreciate each of you.UNfortunately some couldnt make it. I managed to meet a lot of people in one day eh? Well besides that day, ky and yd met me today for a dimsum dinner which was a treat too and was awesome!
This birthday, i feel really pampered compared to previous years. My mum bought me a camera, a 2 tops, a dress, an OP leather file and an ang bao. Gosh. thats a lot packed in. My sis also, she bought me a top, shoes and a skirt. some other gifts include, the white heels, swatch voucher, chocolates, name card holders, bags, a handmade name on wood,a sari, etc..So if anyone else needs more ideas, i need more swatch vouchers and a small nice bible. hehe.
Thank God for time off on thursday morning or i couldnt have survived. END of July 12 2006.
