What a difficult interview! Well, i was called up yest to attend an interview at salvation army today.. i wasnt quite excited cos when i surfed the website, i thot they might send me to peace have, nursing home..and medical social work is not my cup of tea but i was pleasantly surprised to know that i will be posted to gracehaven childrens home.. weee! youth delinquents.. just my cup of tea. So anyway.. went so early.. thanks to the cab.. and the interview was a lot more formal than the last one.. they were again impressed that i could speak so many languages but here comes the tough part. One of them tested my chnese lang skills by giving me a case scenario and asked me torespond in chinese! i think i did miserably. So they concluded that i wont be able to do a case/ counselling in chinese. bUt of cos.. DUH! Sighz.. asked me difficult stuff like sharing my accomplishments.. in attachment and out and then she asked me to tell her a terrible experience i've had.. asked me how i can contribute .. the skills i have beneficial.. wah lao.. In all, i think it went well but it was tough really and i was not prepared. Haha. I had to be spontaneous la.. it took an hr man. LONG! oh.. the sad part is that she asked me my salary expectation and told me upfront that they wont pay more than 2k. RIGHT. God has to LEAD. |
