Its amazing that when u least expect it, everything is going smoothly. God just takes FULL control of everything and i'm just amazed at what He can do.
I was blessed to be given the relief teaching job for 2 days and i had two aims in mind, one: to get some source based questions for my tuition girl and two: to surf the ground for participants for my research. Spoke to two teachers and they got on a scout for me. But here's the deal. I was trying very hard to deal with approaching the students myself. i struggled in the fear of being rejected and talked about. But it so happened that when i punished some of them and asked them to stay back for 10 minutes, i plucked up my courage and asked this one girl. Guess what she said "you are looking at one right in front of you". It stunned me , her openess to talk about her sexual practises. And she was more than willing to help me. Not just that, she said her boyfriend would help me and she started volunteering so many of her other friends. I was delighted! the supposedly sensitive topic didnt seem all that sensitive anymore. During the break, this sec 5 boy whom i had built rapport with before had looked for me and i asked him too. He gathered his friends and they said they would contact me once they find someone. Then came the last class of the day. A sec 3 NA class. I opened my mouth to a malay girl and she brought me to another class to see another malay girl and she gladly offered to be my participant. Although one guy rejected my offer, i was elated that the doors are opening. The biggest hurdle would be to get the school's permission. So after school, i went into the office and pop! the VP appeared right in front of my eyes. The VP used to teach at my JC before so he kinda knows me and that made it a lot more comfortable.SO i spoke to him with regards to gatekeepers permission and he said he had no problems with it! i just have to write a proposal for the principal, who is a fierce thing. So, at the end of the day, reflecting back, i feel that there is a purpose for everything. God knows when and what to do.
Thats not all. my sister needed some of my readings on Bullying in school but all my youth work notes were with my friend so i arranged to take it from her and i did. when i opened the file, she had put two readings on teen sex for me. PLus, there were so many readings that can help me with my theoretical framework for my research!! Inititally for my sister, proved to be my gain.
Talk about divine opportunities and events. Nothing beats trusting God to be in full control and relishing in His goodness. Its just PERFECT.
