Monday was the first day of school. I was kinda sceptical about school so i lazed in bed till 12 plus(only to be named as being lazy). I was awake from 9 plus though. well, i entered the year without much resolutions, expectations and so, the reality actually hit me,that i was in my las semester and going yo graduate in about 4-5 months. Wow. everyone suddenly feels so excited for me and can't wait to hear of my plans but wait! I have none. Let God lead. I met phoebe(after so long!) for a drink and she passed me stuff from HK. well, lets see, there were 2 presents, 1 card, a cheongsam and money! and so i was thrilled to see all of them. Thank you Kannie! was really nice to see her again. she looked so lost.. after being in hk for a yr..i guess i had the same feeling last sem too. Its back to NUS again. So i had my first lecture on crisis and disaster recovery management. We watched a long tsunami tape and honestly, i watched it for th first time. all this while, i never wanted to catch up on media coverage with these disasters and now i have to coe face to face with it. Well, one shocker was that i'm in a group with just two of us while the rest has 4/5 people. My partner keeps assuring me it will be alright and i'm just hoping its not going to demand so much time and effort. well, yep, gotta have faith it will work out fine. So after the lect, i realised i needed to do my lit review for my research topic and considering all the holidays, i went tot he lib to get 7 books.. and rushed off to meet kanmani at holland v.. gosh, i havent seen this girl in ages! She's miss singapore world 03 and she's flying with SQ at the moment..got engaged and starting a business! so many new changes! Good on her..well, we had dinner at thai express, dessert at TCC(her treat) and then her husband drove me back home. so sweet eh. blessed by them both. Was nice catching up with her. Maybe this yr, another thing i'd want to do is to meet more friends and fellowship. I've been missing out on that one for a pretty long time. Yesterday, i had a leaders retreat and a lunch treat by our pastor.. and then had a uni cell outing. So we were ferried by Daryl to marina square and then we were shopping till the rest met us.. we went to Bk for Tea and about 8 of us set out to Botanic gardens. Let me tell u about faith here! it was raining the whole day and KY said we shld have faith that it will stop and it did! so we went there and walked around.. took lotsa pics and enjoyed ourselves.. a retreat with nature. What a perfect way to spend a public holiday. Although i have loads of books and research to do, i was glad to put it away for a while. So i got home and caught up with a friend or rather two friends. was nice. Last night, when i did qt and i read about Adam and eve, it reminded me that for all men, there will be a "helper" just like eve. And i prayed that God will take control of that for me:) I also prayed for God to guide me in this research on teen sex and today, i got a call from Jerry, from Focus on the family telling me that he's looking for researchers like myself to do this topic! talk about support for such a "Taboo" topic!and he's gonna set an appt with me with them to work out some angles and see how we can work together. How cool is that. Praise God for his guidance really. I've to work on my research proposal for today and tomo morning before its due at 1pm tomo and i have to be ready with all ym supervisor's questions so i need to prepare before hand. Got driving at circuit so lets pray the weather holds up. |
