Thank you Jesus, you heard my cry. Well, stuff just got better. LIFE suddenly feels brighter and more colourful. People sure make a difference in a life eh? sometimes i wish people knew how much they do, to me. Anyway, had a long night settling some important issues and woke up at 820 today cos class was at 930am. Dr Sim, our guest lecturer is very particular about timing so he pushed the class forward by half and hour expecting all of us to be on time and imposing a penalty of buying pizza for the whole class should any one be late. haha. Thank God for Liling's mum who drives us to school from mon-wed.you can't imagine how great a blessing it is.So, we had a hands on session on structural family therapy by Salvador Minuchin and this lecturer was supervised by thE Man himself!was getting tired now and then but Dr sim is totally an enlivening person. somehow his voice prevents me from sleeping. maybe i'll ask him to be my supervisor. OH! I have to submit the title of my paper soon and i still dunno what i'm goign to write..three areas i'm interested to explore: youth smoking, youth blogging and youth clubbing. God tell me! So anyway, had a good class break with a call and then finised up the class with a roleplay which was hiarious. man, they are such good actors! Anyway, then we had to come up with questions to do the evaluation tomo and thurs for the abstinence program in bishan ITE. Done and headed off to Ang Mo Kio to Huiqi's house to give her tuition.. actually i feel that she more of just wanted to see me than really bother with her studies. whichever it is. Mary waited till i finished with Huiqi and we interviewed her mum.. it was fast.. then mary helped huiqi with her maths which i refused to touch and then we left to another household 2 blocks away. Hear this: single parent family, mum is 30 yrs old.Daughter is 10 years old but has been diagnosed with brain tumour and is partially blind. she had a stroke last year and been goign thru multiple brain operations.. as long as there is new growth, she has to go back into the hospital.
She's such a sweet girl, so polite and all.. apparently, she's so strong, she's been to fund raising and all to raise funds for children such as herself.. has 3-4 published newspaper articles about her.. she's partially blind but she takes the bus to church with her brother. i was so glad... i hugged her n whispered to her that "Jesus loves her" and then we left. i'm so inspired by her..
Anyway, went home thereafter. What a day!
