we woke up early today and pram prepared the bread for our tuna sandwiches and i baked mushrooms with cheese. then weiyi met us at our room before stting off to cheung chau island. we bugged ben to come with us and after whining, he did. and we went to IFC and sis went crazy seeing zara and mango and she'll go like, "oh my Gosh, its only 129, should i buy , should i buy it?!" if not for me, i think she'd be penniless now. well then we ran for the ferry that was leaving and it took 45 mins to reach the island. well, it was raining, tough luck.. so we hiked in the rain but none of our spirits were dampened. and then i said a prayer for God to bring the rain down so my sis will enjoy herself and hold and behold, the rain stopped and i was so elated. then we went to a pavilion and had our tuna sandwiches, nutella bread and mushrooms while ben entertained us with his crappy self. then we hiked down and reached the beach and we settled there... then sis and i decided to swim and we aimed to reach the middle where there's like a rest ring/ sunbathing corner and we had a bit of trouble man! but we made it and we were on that ring for a long time. Then there was an interesting God planned encounter. we met two ladies. one mother and one daughter, americans. she initiated a conversation with us and we figured that they were missionaries on holiday and living in Guangzhou. so we were generally talking and finding out about their lives. was pretty blessed just hearing how they have 8 children and all were home -schooled and all are in guangxzhou as missionaries.one is in America taking a course on pastoring. And while we were talking to the two of them, over back at shore where ben and weiyi were, there was a lady sitting next to them and she was the daughter of pat who we were talking to. And i asked pat what do u think she's be talking to them and she immediately said she'd be evangelising. and i asked her why she thought that and she said that their family is out to serve people and serve God so what more eternal value can be recieved than to share the gospel with someone else?and i was stunned so she was right and when we got back up at shore we met the other daughter and she told me that my friends were reading the gospel of John and will be looking into it cos they have a bible each I know there was a divine purpose for this to happen.and i was glad it did. so then we changed out and went towards the main point and then shopped around and bought some beach shorts.. and then we wanted to cycle but too bad, it started drizzling and then the bicycle shop started to close.then i was on the phone with kris and at the same time, i had bought something for her.. hehe.. but yeah.. it wasnt great news.. poor girl is so burdened i wish i could more than just by talking. anyway, we fgot to a place to eat and pram and i shared beef hor fun. im crazy, wanted to cook for pram tomo and there was a market so i rushed up to get her hotdogs and vegetables! then we headed back to hong kong.. overall the jouney was great. although it rained, somehow God's hand was upon us and watching over us..and the company was great! and my sister said it was the most fun day.. we got back early for once today and started packing .. and i had sooo mnay emails. sigh.. one last day for sis..she's been great company! not too much of a headache.. i'm going to pack now.. |
