I woke up so late for class again! Argh.. I’m almost beyond hopeless in punctuality.Today we learnt about white weddings in soci lecture.. u know what the rice grains that the people throw on the newly wed couple in wedding ceremonies represent? It represents sperms and fertility and the hope that they will produce new offspring.. found that so interesting.. and why “white” gowns and everything white? It’s supposed to represent virginity and purity so ur not supposed to be having a whilte wedding if u are remarrying or is not a virgin.. hah. Anyway, I had my soci presentation during tutorial today and she said we did a thorough job!yeah! it was good discussion.. kinda reaffirmed the lecturer’s pov that not all marriages are based on love. How sad right. Organisational behaviour lect was hugely boring so I couldn’t pay attention. The worst lecturer I’ve seen in many yrs of my education!he wins hands down. Should get a video of him before I leave. Anyway, I went for my first official tuition today..and it went really well.. I taught him many new words and helped him with writing better compositions.. feel happy that I was able to help him.. and he’s really nice.. as in.. I think he feels “connected” to me..like he pouts and shows emotions.. and tells me about playing table tennis competition.. His mother sat through at the table throughout! Gosh, the house is so small that she couldn’t be any where else I guess..i walked around after tuition and needed to buy a cake to celebrate Lilu’s bday so I walked with my pointed shoes and looked for a good and cheap cake and guess what! I found the cake that Andy had wanted to buy before and it was only S$8!It was my favourite, mango cake! And then met up with the rest..i waited for them to finish marketing for an hour and sat outside, freezing my butt off..oh yes, its not spring yet.. sigh..and I reorganized my calendar and got a grasp of my schedule in a clearer form!i realize di only have a few more months.. if there’s an excuse to stay longer, I’d just take it. Really.i wish I could extend another semester, can i?i should check now..oops.. do I see people feeling sad abt me saying this?So the food agenda today was Laksa! Hazel brought many packets of pre packed laksa packets ad we had good laksa! Yum! So we celebrated lilu’s bday and the guys sabotaged him by conjuring up a gross tasting drink.. he was asked to drink it while being blindfolded and then, the girls took jam and spread it all over his face. Haha.. then we all ran away and moved all around the hall.. and I guess my voice was too loud that when we were going back, li lu caught us at the staircase and I was in front so I got jam on me and guess what, I fell down, hurting my leg.. I was limping for a while and yeah it still hurts.. so I habe to give tennis a miss tomo.. sigh.. hope it gets better..
I’m in a travel dilemma.. a lot of the Singaporeans here are trying to get internships and as a result, travel plans to china seem quite dim and uncertain.. sigh.. maybe I should just go Taiwan with them in march..i dunno! I dunno what to do!Any ideas anyone.. any one interested to travel China?
